Callie's 1st Birthday

So, I've been meaning to write a post since my daughter's birthday was over but things have been crazy!  Her birthday was on the 15th, she had a great party and was of course spoiled!  She got a whole new wardrobe along with some books and toys.  We were actually planning on heading back to Texas today but plans have changed so we will be staying in Indiana for another week, ahh!  I'm getting ready to run some errands but I figured I would include some pictures of the birthday girl because let's face it, she's absolutely adorable!  ;)

I just had to share this mostly because it made me cry.  I'm definitely blaming that on the impending birthday of my baby girl.  I came across this article through a friend on facebook.  It's a must read especially if you have a soon to be 1 year old like I do!

So, Callie's 1st birthday is 9 days away.  It's hard to believe a year has gone by so fast.   In an effort to distract me from the fact that my baby girl is turning 1 I have been planning for her party for the past few months.  Since we don't have any family or friends here we have decided to travel back to Indiana so Callie can be surrounded by all of the people that love her and have watched her grow this past year.  Although planning a party that's taking place out of state is stressful I am so excited for it.  I'm sure I will end up having a slight breakdown when the day is actually here and it hits me that my baby isn't technically a "baby" anymore but for now I will focus on the excitement!  :)

I am also going to get better about posting more often on here.  It's a hard habit to get into!

Introduction

Okay, this is my first attempt at creating a blog so bear with me!  To start off I am going to tell you a little bit about myself and my family.  I am a stay at home mom to the most beautiful, amazing and perfect 1 year old daughter.  We spend our days laughing, learning and having fun!  We recently relocated from my hometown in Indiana to start our lives with her Daddy and my other half in Austin, Texas.  We are a happy family of 3 and look forward to what the future has in store for our family.

I'm not going to focus on just one thing on my blog, it will be a mix of my thoughts, articles I want to share with my readers, reviews of products, things to do in the Austin area and more!  I hope you will stick around to join on this journey with me.
